Experience a unique and modern approach of classical german cuisine with extraordinary quality, excellent wines, cocktails and drinks. A large collection of Gin, Vodka, Rum and Whisky is also available. Enjoy an exquisit dinner in the outstanding atmosphere of the oldest restaurant in the region.
innovative cuisine, very nice wine list. Unfortunately, very little towards vegetarian / vegan
Franconian cuisine with an Asian touch. Really tasty, I can only recommend it
cozy and always something special
Very interesting menus with extraordinary taste variations ... but everything really recommended and very, very tasty. The family atmosphere and friendliness invites you to linger great
Very good cuisine with a slight hint of Asia. First-class friendly service with a knack for matching wine and a wonderfully stylish atmosphere to feel good. What more could you want for a great evening.
Great restaurant !! Ambience very inviting / cozy, excellent food and very friendly service :) There are also dishes for vegans (at least during my visit) :)
Wasabi Mayo in Bad Windsheim. Too tasty
A kitchen that can compete with any star kitchen. In addition, perfect wines, rare spirits and classic cocktails. An absolute insider tip of the culinary top class!
For my taste, the onion roast and the side dishes were very salty, even if I usually like it spicy
We loved this place so much we decided to eat here for dinner 2 days in a row during our stay in Bad Windsheim! The lady who welcomed and served us was very nice. The combination of Franconian food with the Japanese touch is a winner! The restaurant is located inside an historical house, easy to reach, and you can park right at the front. Dogs are welcomed too.
Was very, very delicious, I would go again
Very good dish, good wine and very friendly service. Highly recommended.
Very cozy gastronomy, nice ambience, excellent cuisine, very friendly service
Only the pork belly as a starter lived up to the demands of the three-course menu. Main course advertised as "The Yellow Shark Edelwaller / Chanterlinge / Fennel / Zucchini / Jalapeno ". The" Edelwaller "was more recognizable by its appearance and consistency. Ditto the chanterelles, all in a strange slimy sauce in which the jalapensos must have been hidden somewhere. Raspberry -Cheesecake and lime sorbet as dessert ok, but the menu with "Debra Kadabra _ raspberry / yoghurt / miso / lime" doesn't make you expect anything very good. The "house wine" was good, the total price was friendly, but overall the menu was good Not keeping the avant-garde claim “Absolutly Free.” A shame! The owner's answer: I complained in detail to the waitress that neither the catfish nor the chanterelle tasted satisfactory. She then explained that it was a noble catfish that is only caught in certain months! ??! If, by the way, it was Hasetaler / Ahrenshorster goods: what a shame. In truth, of course, you know better that apart from appearance and consistency there is only smell (!), But that should be a gag. For the sake of consistency, the petit fours could not have been suitable for finger food in a restaurant that pretends to be so keen to experiment without being (at least on this evening). Strange idea, admittedly. What was "Absolutely Free"? I ate everything because some things were good anyway and the main course was worth a complaint, but not completely wrong. Incidentally, I could definitely help: with better raw materials and the willingness to really respond to criticism instead of wanting to score points with cheap polemics and thus kill any desire for another attempt.
I strolled past the wine bar by chance and immediately fell in love with a dish on the menu. Even though I hadn't made a reservation and it was the weekend, I got a seat straight away. The service was incredibly attentive and I felt completely at ease. My risotto was just fantastic. The wine recommendation was so excellent that I even took a bottle of the good drop with me. I will come back next time I am in Bad Windsheim and this time I will bring my whole family with me :) Very clear recommendation!
Very nice and attentive lady who served me. Good service is offered here. Beer and wine were good too ...
Very attentive service. The menu is very appealing, a selection of dishes that cannot be found everywhere. Unfortunately it was not 100% my taste, but that says nothing.
Nice ambience and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the selection is small and so special that we have not found anything. In addition, one should not be confused by the “menus”. At the next table, a starter for a main course was held, which ultimately led to a growling stomach at the end of the visit. Too bad. Unfortunately not the right restaurant for us, if you find a suitable dish and don't let the high prices irritate you, you can definitely spend a nice evening there.
Awesome schnitzel!!! The place is very cozy and it invites you to stay and enjoy. The owner is the kindest person on Earth.
Amazing food and very hospitable. Very romantic and rustic atmosphere with attentive and friendly service. The food is simple but nuanced, serving traditional dishes from the region. Very nice wine list and you have the option to let them serve a three or four course meal with the wine pairing. Fantastic dining experience!!
The slightly different kitchen. Detailverliebt, new, Far East meets regional German. Definitely worth a visit!
Good wines. The food was pretty good too. The service very attentive bordering on over attentive. If you are allergic to cats, stay away. A fantastic building from the 1500s. Very cozy inside.
Delicious
Cod with lentils highly recommended Very nice old, cozy wine bar, or restaurant, well preserved and restored. The building is beautiful and the kitchen starversewächtig. First class, attentive and familiar service. The dishes are exceptionally well put together and taste fireworks. Thank you for a nice evening!
Very selected dishes wonderful combined: highly recommended, young Franconian cuisine, young chef, super nice service - absolutely go there. Worth the price in any case = inexpensive. We were there again in December 2018 and again great creations and combinations, great 3- and 4-course menu. Good wine selection also by the glass and 0.1 l. And the old tavern with the low ceiling and the dark wood is a real eye-catcher. Keep up the good work and many guests who appreciate it.
Great food, but it's not much for th price. The staff is amazing!
Sylvia is the waitress and very nice, speaks some English. Her son is the chef and can translate menu for you in English. The food was more upscale with little higher price but so worth it. The desserts didn't impress us.
Incredible food, excellent service and very interesting cocktail menu.
Great food and service! Will eat there again!!
